My second race, was my first EDI race in Mammoth, California. A few hours south of Reno in the Sierra Nevadas. The town of Mammoth is mostly a ski resort town with some of the tallest peaks in the lower 48. The course was on a scenic loop on forest service land. It was a fairly easy course with a huge sweeper at the top, and two chicanes further down. The last chicane was fairly easy, if you went through alone. But could be a little tough two or three wide.
Fire on the Mountain
Fayetteville, WV holds Bridge Day every year off the New River Gorge bridge.
For the second year Newton's Playground was held on the haloed grounds of Mount Panorama. Mount Panorama is a road race track that is also a public road, on the outskirts of the old gold mining town of Bathurst, Australia. Because it is a race track, the road surface is immaculate.
The course itself is one of the steepest on the circuit, parts even rival Tuetonia, except it isn't as long. There are two very challenging corners. Despite only have two tough corners, the course is very technical.
Deep in the Brazilian jungle lies the small town of Teutonia. The town is home to an Adidas factory, and one street of stores including a surf store! On the outskirts of town, a road heads up a steep mountain. At the top of this road lies a small resort, Lagoa da Harmonia.
Eastbourne Speed Days
For the third year the IGSA World Cup series returns to Eastbourne in southern England. The race starts at the top of world famous Beachy Head. The course isn't the best, with only a 200 feet drop and one difficult turn. Although this year the course was lengthend back to its original mile.
